Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum)
Description: An annual plant that can grow in many different types of soils, but prefers loam with a PH of 6.0-7.0.
Planting Instructions: Seeds sprout readily with no special preparation.
Common Usage: Greens are eaten in salads and as a vegetable. Seeds are ground up and used as an additive in sauces such as curries.
Benefits: Fenugreek is a known lactagogue (helps women to produce breast milk, and has been used to help people suffering from diabetes.
